FEEL began as a small idea by an artist alone in their bedroom.

FEEL is an extension of Aubrié Costello's THE EROTIC PROJECT, which explores softness as protest and pleasure for all. THE EROTIC PROJECT ~ is a living breathing collaborative multimedia healing-arts platform conceived by artist Aubrié Costello in their bedroom during quarantine, that reclaims the erotic as salve, solace, sanctuary, and survival.

THE EROTIC PROJECT ~ is reimagined, new erotica, moving beyond the sexual, that centers joy, consent, queer desire, erotic intelligence, and communal catharsis discovered in daily life. It began with two foundational works, the SOFT Book and the FEEL Erotic Prompt Card Deck, and continues to expand through zines, books, audio books, short films, fiber art and film installations, free public activations and community events, and an ongoing participatory archive series that blurs the boundary between public and private personas and experiences. The project is guided by one belief: that new erotica, written from a healing queer lens, can help rebuild intimacy, dignity, and (re)connection in a time of trauma and erasure.

The FEEL Deck / From Page to Practice ~ FEEL is a queer-centered, harm-reduction, healing literary-arts brand rooted in new erotica literacy, mental/sexual wellness, and radical vulnerability.

How do you FEEL?

This can be a tough question to answer these days. The FEEL Deck invites you to feel deeper. Created by primarily queer artists for holistic pleasure and catharsis, FEEL is an affordable, trauma-informed, inclusive/accessible sensory offering and a conduit for collective healing & liberation. With 104 SOLO and SHARED prompts, the deck supports self-reflection, pleasure practices beyond the sexual, and intimate (re)connection.

We’re living through uneasy times, leading us toward disconnect. Collective work is necessary to heal. To do this well, we must integrate restorative rest, pleasure, attunement, and play into our lives. The FEEL Deck helps identify and destigmatize our deepest desires and emotions, offering an interactive resource that centers queer, BIPOC, and neurodivergent voices. We’ve forgotten the power of vulnerability. FEEL helps us remember.

There is a growing demand for functional art: practical, beautifully designed art objects that are both usable and collectible. FEEL meets that need—great design meets ethical production meets accessible, queer-centered self-care resource. It’s more than a deck; it’s a movement that reimagines reclaimed new eroticism as healing, wholeness, and joy.

What better investment than nourishing queer community through care, creativity, and participatory healing-arts?

Queer communities across the world face escalating harm, censorship, and social fatigue. FEEL and THE EROTIC PROJECT respond by creating soft infrastructures for rejuvenation and cultural continuity.

Costello approaches art-making and design as ethical practices grounded in mutual care and creative intimacy. This work insists that pleasure is not apolitical. It is an act of resistance to numbness and a refusal of invisibility. By centering queer art, pleasure, and vulnerability, FEEL challenges the systems that seek to harden and divide us. It offers language and art as tools for collective healing and situates eroticism as a form of wisdom. In this context, the project functions as both literary movement and social-justice intervention. Pleasure shouldn’t just be a luxury for some. THE EROTIC PROJECT redefines what queer co-authorship, publishing, archiving, writing, and reading can be when guided by consent, community care, compassion, and truth & storytelling, within communal soft safe spaces we create ~ together.
